Story 1:  Coronavirus Insanity: A Guy Camps Out Inside Disney World, Brothels Make a Re-Opening Plan, and More

Here are some NOT-so-serious stories we’ve seen about the coronavirus outbreak . . .

  1. A 42-year-old guy from Alabama was busted for trespassing after he tried to camp on an island inside of Disney World in Florida. Apparently he’d been there for at least a few days, and said he picked it because, quote, “it looked like a tropical paradise.”
  2. The legal brothels in Nevada are working hard to figure out how to operate once they can re-open.

Meanwhile, a strip club in Houston, Texas reopened over the weekend and the owner says, quote, “We’re not allowing any lap dancing, and they have masks on.”  But he could be facing criminal charges, as strip clubs weren’t included in the re-opening plan.

A swingers club in Illinois believes it has found a loophole to open . . . the owner’s son now lives in the club and isn’t charging for the orgies, so it’s not a business, he’s just throwing house parties for friends.

Also, a judge in Wisconsin ruled that strip clubs are eligible to receive emergency loans.

  1. Online poker pros are loving the lockdown . . . because they’re cleaning up against all the amateurs who’ve been hitting the websites.
  2. The pandemic has really affected money laundering. And in the past three weeks, federal agents have had three seizures of more than $1 million in drug money in Los Angeles.
  3. It’s possible that the pandemic could mean an end of all-you-can-eat buffets . . . maybe forever. The latest federal health regulations are recommending the end of, quote, “salad bars [and] buffets . . . that require customers to use common utensils.”
  4. People in Atlanta packed into a mall on Saturday to line up for a new release of Air Jordans.
  5. Someone stole a large protective mask off a lion statue outside of The Art Institute of Chicago.
  6. A woman in England who predicts the future by using asparagus says she sees, quote, “really great, good news” on coronavirus coming this month.
  7. A new survey of people in China found the number one place people want to travel when this is all over is . . . Wuhan.

Story 2:  Something Called “Murder Hornets” Have Arrived in the U.S. and What Even Is This Year?

Yup, this is JUST what we needed right now.

Insects called “MURDER HORNETS” have made their way to the U.S. for the first time ever.  That’s right:  MURDER HORNETS.

These hornets are up to two inches long and a bee expert at Washington State University says they are, quote, “like something out of a monster cartoon.”

The murder hornets kill up to 50 people a year in Japan . . . and their stingers are so long and powerful that they can penetrate beekeeping suits.  Fortunately, they don’t usually attack people . . . but when they do, look out.

They’re also a huge predator to honey bees . . . and just a few of these hornets can completely destroy a hive in a few hours.  Honey bees are already in a lot of trouble, so this is a new predator they REALLY don’t need.

Four sightings have happened in Washington state and British Columbia, Canada.  There’s no word on how the hornets got here . . . but experts are working on trying to trap them to keep them from spreading.

Story 3:  People Are Now Making a Bunch of Tiny Pancakes and Eating Them in a Bowl Like Cereal

If you need a breakfast project that’s unnecessarily complicated to keep you occupied right now, here you go.

People have been posting TikTok videos where they make a bunch of tiny pancakes . . . then eat them in a bowl like cereal.  They haven’t been eating them with milk on top . . . usually just syrup and butter.

On a semi-related note, IHOP posted a picture on Twitter of a new product they’re making . . . a cereal called “Panflakes.”  And yes, it ALSO looks like mini pancakes.

Survey Says?!

According to a recent survey, only 53% of Americans say they always have THIS on as they’ve been working from home.

Answer:  Pants.  |  Go here for more.

More results . . .

22% wear pants most of the time . . . 12% say sometimes . . . 5% rarely wear pants . . . and 7% NEVER do.

Men are three times more likely to say they never wear pants when they’re working from home . . . 9% of men never wear pants versus 3% of women.

The survey also found 35% of men and 45% of women get ready for a video call by putting on nicer clothes.  And, perhaps, pants.
