THE MORE YOU KNOW - TRENDING FACTS TO FEED YOUR BRAIN

A Judge Has Banned Elf on the Shelf in His County . . . as a Gift to “Tired Parents”?

“The Elf on the Shelf” has been a welcome tradition for a lot of families throughout the past decade or so.  But apparently, the elves’ movements have become an UNWELCOME BURDEN for some parents.

So a judge in Cobb County, Georgia named Judge Rob Leonard is offering local parents an OUT.

He just made an order requesting that the elf NOT show up in homes this holiday season.  He said that “inexplicably” some elves fail to move, and when that occurs, it can disappoint the children . . . and with everything going on, he believes it’s best to “BANISH all Elves on Shelves from Cobb County.”

Clearly this is tongue-in-cheek, and it’s unclear how official it is.  In any event, the parents who still welcome the elf CAN keep it.  He said the order is a, “gift to tired parents,” but there are “no contempts,” so you can ignore it.

A Woman Gave Leggings a Five-Star Review, After They Survived Her Fall Down a Mountain

It seems like there are more and more FAKE reviews for products online . . . so one trick is to find people with photos and videos proving how they are using the item.  And this is a CLASSIC example:

An Amazon review by a user named “Cory H” is going viral.

A little while ago, she posted a FIVE-STAR review for some leggings.  (Their official name is “Raypose Women’s Yoga Running Capris Leggings.”)

She said, “Can I just say that I will be re-ordering [these leggings] in every color.”

She posted a couple of unflattering photos of her on the side of a rocky incline, and said, “Here is me rolling and sliding down a mountain because I was too scared to get up . . .

“My leggings did not rip . . . not even a little bit . . . and I got stuck on rocks and trees.”  She added, “Order them now.”  The price ranges from $13.99 to $22.99, which isn’t bad for indestructible leggings.  Here’s the link.

(Her review prompted this amusing response from another customer.  This woman says, “Mountain sliding legging lady was right!”)
