Bic’s last day at HITS 106

By Bic Nov 23, 2021 | 5:53 AM

It’s a ‘see-ya-later’ not a ‘goodbye’

I have some bittersweet news to share.  After eight great years at HITS 106 (including four years at Y102), I’ve accepted a position within the company (NRG Media) that will involve me moving East.

Where to?  What will I be doing?  I can’t disclose right now, but I will share soon on social media as my first day with the new gig is Monday!  You can find me at @eugbic.

And no . . .  Austin and I are not feuding!  Lol.  He really is an amazing guy.

So . . . A new opportunity came knocking at my door over a month ago, and I couldn’t pass it up.  With the new, exciting change . . . my heart is also sad for leaving a place I’ve called home for more than 12 years.

I will miss many of you in central Nebraska, especially the listeners!!  All of you who listen, I owe you everything!!  I got the chance to pursue a radio career I’ve always wanted to pursue . . . and you all gave me that chance.  THANK YOU.  Just know this announcement is not a ‘goodbye’ . . . just a ‘see-ya-later’.

I owe a big thanks to Mark Reid, Sharon White, ScottyO and Jason Murphy for letting a young 20-something take on some big roles with no experience, and hiring me.  A huge thanks goes to my general manager Dallas Nau, for always believing in me and giving me the opportunity to do mornings and manage HITS 106 KQKY (thank you!!!!!).  And of course I can’t forget to say thank you to Dave Jenner, Lisa Williams, Melissa Free, Tiago Rey, DJ Becci, Kid Cory, Mitch in the Morning, and many (MANY) more of you who have contributed to my experiences here at NRG Media – Central Nebraska.

Whoever walks into my footsteps, please give them a chance just like you did for me!

My last day with Austin and with the radio station will be tomorrow, Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.  I’m so thankful, and I’ve had so much fun.  Until we meet again.  Much love.
