The Nebraska Children’s Home Society is pleased to welcome four new board members to its team. NCHS’s diverse board of directors represents a cross-section of the community. Each member works hard to ensure the longevity of the organization, overseeing the funds being raised to help Nebraska families in need. The NCHS board of directors is also the board of directors for the NCHS Foundation.
“This incoming cohort brings a wealth of lived and professional experiences,” said Lana Temple-Plotz, CEO of NCHS. “They were selected based on a strong mission match with our organization that will help us advance our strategic plan and enhance our service offerings to match the evolving needs of Nebraska families.”
New members to the board are Christine Torres, director of membership and development at the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce. Monica Wells a family and community program administrator at the Buffett Early Childhood Institute. Sarah Morris-Rotermund, director of marketing at Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP. And Jamel Hamilton, a deputy director of lending at Nebraska Enterprise Fund.
NCHS board members may serve two three-year terms. The new board members began their first terms on July 1, 2022, and ends on June 30, 2025.
