The University of Nebraska at Kearney will be holding its 63rd annual Band Day Parade Saturday September 17, at 10 am in downtown Kearney.
Over 20 bands from middle and high schools across the state will be performing in the parade.
The parade route will be begin at 21st Street and Third Avenue, follow Third Avenue south to Railroad Street, head east to Central Avenue, and turn north before ending at Central Avenue and 24th Street.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three bands for parade marching. Additionally awards will be given to best outstanding drumline, color guard and an overall champion.
Bands will also participate in the Bearcat Marching Festival, which follows the Band Day Parade awards ceremony at Kearney High School.
