COLUMBUS – The Kearney Catholic Stars Boys Golf team wrapped up their final day of the Class C State Golf meet at the Columbus Elks Golf Course, finishing atop the field winning the team title over GICC.
The Stars two day total ended at 629, ending day one at 320 and day two at 309.
Sophomore Jackson Dunham ended with a two day total of 149 as he claimed the individual state title. The championship is the first ever state boys golf title for Kearney Catholic.
Freshman Nash Malone finished his two day total at 160 and tied for 8th. Landon Edeal (161) was tied for 11th, Tate Redinger (164) ended tied for 18th, and Quinten Hogeland was tied for 22nd (166).
GICC was runner-up at 652. Amherst ended fourth at 344.
