Hastings College Women's Basketball // HC Bronco Athletics

MITCHELL, SD – The Hastings College women’s basketball team could not find its stride in its 91-45 loss to Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon inside the Corn Palace.

It was a tough one from the outset for the Lady Broncos as the Lady Tigers jumped out to a 19-10 first quarter lead and never looked back.

Hastings shot just 25 percent (16-for-64) from the floor while DWU shot 42.3 percent (33-for-78). HC was just 2-for-16 from downtown while Dakota Wesleyan was 9-for-22.

Hastings was led by Alexis Tapia as she was the lone Bronco in double figures with 10 points. Riley Clavel and Lexi Kraft each added six points.

The rebounding edge favored DWU 59-to-35.

Hastings is now 2-4 (0-2) on the year and will be back in action Tuesday Nov. 21 as Midland comes to town with tipoff set for 6:00 pm inside Lynn Farrell Arena.
