Hastings College Women's Wrestling v. KCAC Duals // HC Bronco Athletics
YORK – The Hastings College women’s wrestling team was in action at the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Duals on Saturday and finished second behind Ottawa.
Hastings began the day by dominating its first three matches in pool play. First downing Dakota Wesleyan 45-5, then dropping Avila 33-12 before toppling Friends 34-15 to advance to the gold medal pool.
There Hastings defeated Saint Mary (KS) 30-18 to advance to the championship match where the Lady Broncos would fall to the Lady Braves 32-16 to bring home the silver.
Lisa Hoeflich had herself a day going undefeated as she pinned each of her competitors as she finished in a tie for most points scored at the dual with 25.
Reagen Gallaway went 3-0 on the day as she split time with Tabitha Wood at 143 as Wood would go 2-0 on the day.
Adacelli Salaiz-Noriega would also go undefeated on the day picking up three wins and two forfeit victories.
Olivia De Georgio would also go undefeated as she picked up three wins and two forfeit victories.
Hastings will be back in action Saturday Feb. 3 taking part in the Grand View Open out in Des Moines, IA.
