JAPAN – The former sharpshooter for Nebraska Basketball has reached an exclusive shoe deal with another legendary shooter.
Former Nebraska guard Keisei Tominaga agreed to a multi-year sneaker deal with The Curry Brand, becoming the first international athlete in the process, as first reported by Nick DePaula.
Tominaga, the Japanese native, arrived in the United States but transferred to Nebraska in 2021. He led the Big Red to their first tournament appearance in a decade, averaging 15 points per game this past season.
Tominaga often received praise as the international version of the NBA’s top shooter Stephen Curry. He finished his final season in Lincoln making 75 three-pointers and claimed the men’s college hoops three-point contest during the Final Four in Phoenix this past April.
The former Cornhusker will turn pro later this summer, but will have a chance to showcase his international talent for his home country of Japan.
