The Team Jack Foundation is hosting its 12th Annual Gala, sponsored by Fat Brain Toys, on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln.
Fat Brain Toys, an international toy company founded by Mark and Karen Carson in Elkhorn, Nebraska, has been a strong supporter of the Team Jack Foundation since 2016. They are dedicated to enriching families through their mission of providing “A Smarter Way to Play,” fostering creativity, and igniting curiosity.
This year’s keynote speaker is Atlanta Falcons quarterback, Kirk Cousins, sponsored by First Interstate Bank. Cousins was a three-time Pro Bowl selection during his five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. This past year he signed a four-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons. Kirk and his wife, Julie, partner with numerous nonprofit organizations and are known for making an impact in the community through the Kirk Cousins Foundation.
Rick Allen, Lead Race Announcer for NASCAR on NBC, will be emceeing the event for the sixth straight year. This inspiring program will raise funds for childhood brain cancer research to discover safer, more effective treatments for children afflicted with the disease. The Team Jack Gala brings together supporters of the Foundation’s mission, and over the past eleven years, over $5.5 million has been raised for research at this event alone.
The Team Jack Gala is sold out thanks to the generous support of many businesses and individuals across Nebraska, but non-attendees can still participate in this inspiring event. The live and silent auctions are open to off-site bidders, and the event livestream will be available for viewing on YouTube at no cost. The live auction, available on Proxibid, features 12 items ranging from unique travel experiences to exclusive golf packages and luxury women’s items! The silent auction, sponsored by the ForeverNate Foundation, has over 160 great items. For links to watch and bid, visit https://teamjackfoundation.org/live/.
About Team Jack Foundation
The Team Jack Foundation’s mission is to raise research funds and awareness for childhood brain cancer. Brain cancer is the leading cancer cause of death in children. Each year less than four percent of U.S. federal funding is solely dedicated to childhood cancer research, with even less spent on childhood brain cancer research. Since 2013, the Team Jack Foundation has raised over $14.5 million for childhood brain cancer research and has invested in 20 research projects regionally and nationally, including a $6.5 million commitment to the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Children’s Nebraska for the creation of a childhood brain tumor program.
