GRAND ISLAND — A hit and run incident is being investigated in Grand Island after a man was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on Sunday, Feb. 23.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, officers responded to the area of 1st St. and Locust St. in reference to a hit and run accident.
A 34-year-old man reported being struck by a small yellow SUV while using the crosswalk to walk across the street.
The man stated that the vehicle continued to drive on after hitting him without stopping to render aid. The man reported pain in his left foot but had no visible injuries.
The case is under investigation.
