HASTINGS — Attention astronomy enthusiasts, the Hastings Museum have a variety of space related events happening in March.

Astral Adventures

Astral Adventures is our latest family program that takes place on Saturday, March 1st from 9:30 am-Noon at the Hastings Museum.

Join us for an amazing day at the museum and an unforgettable adventure among the stars through hands on activities with our latest family program. Students will learn about the mysteries of space and the James Webb Space Telescope while creating a rocket, planet and galaxy.
Tickets are $4 for members and $4 plus museum admission for non-members. These can be purchased online or in person.

Observe the Moon

Observe the Moon takes place on Tuesday, March 11th from 8:30-9:45 pm at Brickyard Park.

All community members are invited to observe the nearly full moon with the museum’s telescope for free. Planetarium Coordinator, Kirk Rosberg, will be on hand to answer your astronomy questions. This event is weather permitting.

Live Sky Tonight

Live Sky Tonight takes place on Tuesday, March 25th from 8:45-9:45 pm at Brickyard Park.

Learn about constellations and stars with Planetarium Coordinator, Kirk Rosberg for free. Community members have the opportunity to get their astronomy questions answered and learn about the night sky live with museum staff. This event is weather permitting.
We also have multiple planetarium shows each week! These are free with museum admission.
