CHICAGO — A Southwest Airlines flight out of Omaha narrowly avoided a collision when a private business jet at Chicago’s Midway Airport during the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Videos who the Southwest plane approaching the runway just before 9 a.m. before it is seen abruptly pulling up. A smaller jet was also seen crossing the runway the larger passenger plane was going to use.
The taxiing jet mistakenly crossed the runway where the Southwest flight was cleared to land. No injuries were reported, and the FAA is investigating.
