OMAHA — Brett Lindstrom, lifelong Nebraskan, father, and former Nebraska state senator, today announces his campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District.
With Congressman Don Bacon’s decision not to seek re-election in 2026, Brett Lindstrom is stepping forward—bringing with him a record of conservative leadership, community commitment, and a vision for securing Nebraska’s future.
“I’m running for Congress because I believe Nebraska needs a leader who will fight every day for our families, our values, and our future,” Lindstrom said. “I will be a voice for working people, veterans, and small businesses, and for the next generation who deserve to inherit a stronger, safer America.” Lindstrom’s campaign will focus on growing our economy, securing our border, and making District 2 the best place to raise a family.

Brett Lindstrom was raised in Omaha and has spent his entire life in Nebraska, learning the value of hard work early on as a walk-on for the Cornhuskers football team. That same determination defined his public service, where he was one of only two Omaha Republicans to survive the 2018 Blue Wave. In the Legislature, Brett earned a reputation as a pragmatic problem solver who delivered meaningful tax relief, supported small businesses, and always put Nebraska families first—proving time and again that he doesn’t back down from tough challenges.
