SHELTON — A semi-tralier accident at the Shelton interchange closed Interstate 80 for five hours during the afternoon and early evening of Sunday, Oct. 13.

“A semi was westbound on Interstate 80 near mile marker 291 when it lost control and rolled. The semi partially went over the bridge railing,” according to the Nebraska State Patrol, “One of the semi’s axles detached from the semi and struck a Ford F-150. No injuries were reported by either driver.”

I-80 was closed in the areas for approximately five hours during clean up, per NSP.
