Yesterday, Wednesday afternoon a ribbon cutting was held at Kearney Regional Airport where new facilities, crew and flight carrier Denver Air Connection was introduced to the public.
People filled the newly renovated facility for the FPO while enjoying food and drinks before hearing words from Denver Air Connection head businessman Jon Cole.
Kearney Mayor Stan Clouse also shared words later followed by Kearney Chamber of Commerce President Derek Rusher, and Nebraska Senator Deb Fisher.
Community members were able to tour one of Denver Air Connections 50-seater planes during the event, and participant in a ticket giveaway where 10 lucky winners won tickets to Kearney Regionals first flight with Denver Air Connection.
Additionally the cities newest department, Kearney Flight Services, was introduced to the public along with the plans on the terminals expansion.
