FORMER LOPER BASEBALL PLAYER TO LEAD UNK STRENGTH & CONDITIONING PROGRAM:

Nebraska Kearney Athletics announced today that Shane Stock will be the Lopers new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

The Omaha native begins his new duties on January 3rd and replaces Steve “Sarge” Schulz who is retiring after a distinguished and decorated coaching career.

Stock has spent the five and a half years as an assistant working under Schulz. He joined the strength and condition staff in in October 2016 where he oversaw all aspects of training and nutrition for the baseball program

In his assistant role, he oversaw the development of the men’s and women’s track and field teams, softball, women’s soccer, and women’s golf while assisting with football.

A former UNK baseball player, he is certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) with the distinction of registered strength and conditioning coach (RSCC).
