Today is the 40th Anniversary of the night of twisters that hit Grand Island on June 3rd 1980. Then I was a 19 year old working for a local Gutter and Downpipe Construction company. I had been working that Monday and Tuesday of that week having stayed at the then Erin Hotel on West 2nd that Monday night. On Tuesday June 3rd it so happened I was scheduled to do a radio show on V91 at Kearney State College (KSC). So I left town at around 5pm to go do that show. I explain the rest!
