UPDATE: KEARNEY COUNTY, Neb. (KGFW) – A 43-year-old man killed in a Kearney County vehicle-pedestrian hit and run has been identified.

The Sheriff’s Office says Christopher Hines was struck on Highway 44 about 5:30 Tuesday morning.

Authorities ask anyone with information, especially those traveling between Highway 6 and the City of Kearney about that time, to contact the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office at 308-832-2805.

The accident would have caused noticeable front-end damage.

KEARNEY COUNTY, Neb. – The Kearney County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol are investigating a hit and run accieent that occurred in the southbound lane of Highway 44 between approximately 5am and 5:15am Tuesday, August 11th.

Anyone who traveled the route between Kearney and Highway 6 this morning or anyone with information is asked to contact the Kearney County Sheriff’s Office at 308-832-2805.

The accident would have caused noticeable front-end damage.
