HASTINGS — The City of Hastings Street Department will close Blaine Avenue around the BNSF Railway tracks, north of Crop Production Services Inc., at 150 Blaine Ave.
The closure will be in effect 8 a.m., Wednesday Aug. 16 through 8 a.m., Monday Aug. 21.
As part of the work, City of Hastings Street Department will be replacing as BNSF fixes the tracks. Closing that section of Blaine Avenue until Monday morning gives the concrete more time to cure before traffic uses it again.
The detour will include Showboat Boulevard to 12th Street and back to Blaine Avenue. This is a joint project involving BNSF, AGP and the Street Department.
The Nebraska Department of Transportation and Adams County Department of Roads are aware of this project as well.
