LINCOLN – Tuesday was anything but ordinary for Nebraska Football, as reserve tight end Arik Gilbert was arrested early in the morning. Head Coach Matt Rhule addressed his situation, along with other pregame topics after Tuesday’s practice.

RHULE – GILBERT ARREST:

Nebraska Football had a shock this morning as tight end Arik Gilbert was arrested on a burglary charge early Tuesday. Matt Rhule addressed the situation to start his Tuesday presser…

Gilbert had not yet received a waiver transfer from the NCAA after transferring from Georgia this past offseason – he had previously transferred from LSU after his freshman season.

 

RHULE – TEAM NEWS; ALVANO TO START, INJURY UPDATES:

Nebraska Football head coach Matt Rhule gave some team updates after Tuesday’s practice including injury updates and naming a starting kicker…

Rhule added there are some other injuries across the team, but they will not be released until the injury report is listed on gameday.

 

RHULE – TIGHT ENDS AFTER GILBERT:

Tight end Arik Gilbert was arrested on Tuesday morning as head coach for Nebraska Matt Rhule stated at his Tuesday presser, it won’t change much when it comes to the tight end rotation…

Gilbert’s waiver was not yet approved nor denied by the NCAA after the Georgia transfer had applied for eligibility this season.
