KEARNEY – The top-rated Kearney Catholic Stars Volleyball handled their business Saturday, sweeping #16 West Point-Beemer in the C1-1 District Final at Kearney Catholic High School and punching their ticket to the state tournament.
The Stars (30-2) are the top overall team in Class C1’s NSAA State Volleyball Tournament beginning on Wednesday, as Kearney Catholic took the match 25-18, 25-19, and 25-13 to earn the C1-1 District Championship.
It is Kearney Catholic’s 22nd State Championship appearance, and their fourth consecutive trip, having been to the State Tournament each season since 2020.
